Rinar (Non-Allergic Rhinitis Nasal Spray) is indicated to provide long-lasting relief from the symptoms of non-allergic rhinitis, by desensitising the nerve fibers to non-allergic rhinitis triggers.
Rinar (Non-Allergic Rhinitis Nasal Spray) contains a low dosage of Capsicum oleoresin (Capsaicin) in almond oil. Capsaicin relieves reactive noses, thanks to the desensitisation properties of the vegetable components (Capsaicin). The capsaicin binds to TRPV1 receptors on c-sensory nerve fibers in the nose. These are the same nerve fibers involved in detecting environmental triggers in non-allergic rhinitis that induce nasal congestion, discharge and discomfort. Almond oil is a well-known natural component and it is reported to be soothing, lubricating, softening, moisturizing and nourishing. It also carries excellent emollient properties.
WHAT IS NON-ALLERGIC RHINITIS?
Non-Allergic Rhinitis is the inflammation of the nose that is NOT caused by simple allergies. The symptoms are similar to allergic rhinitis (hayfever) but the triggers are different.
Symptoms of Non-Allergic Rhinitis include:
- Blocked and stuffy nose
- Facial pain
- Excessive sneezing
- Sensitive or irritated nose
- Runny nose and/or post nasal drip
- Impaired sleep or fatigue
Triggers of Non-Allergic Rhinitis include:
- General irritants e.g. perfumes, odours, smoke, cosmetics, paint
- Temperature and humidity changes, particularly cold air and air conditioning
- Chemical irritants e.g. household cleaning products
- Stress or medications
- Certain food or drinks
- Changes in hormone levels
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
- 3 sprays in each nostril, 3 times a day (only 30min apart – to ‘flood’ the nerve receptors) for consecutive days until desensitized
- Use it for at least 3 days (no less than 72hrs) but keep using until you become ‘desensitized’ to it. When the perceived ‘sting’ or ‘burn’ no longer occurs when you sprayed your nose then you’ve reached ‘desensitization’. This usually occurs within 2 weeks (requiring 2-3 bottles). It can be repeated at any stage if symptoms begin to reappear.
- Rinar (Non-Allergic Rhinitis Nasal Spray) can be used again at the same dosage, if symptoms recur.
